Georgi James is happy to be back where it all started, having begun her advanced tap training at DMO when she was just 7 years old! Broadway credits include the 2012 Revival of Annie (Pepper), Billy Elliot (Debbie) and A Tale of Two Cities (ensemble, child swing). Other favorite theater credits include Little Miss Sunshine (Olive Hoover) at La Jolla Playhouse and originating the role of Small Alison in the pre-broadway workshops of Fun Home. Aside from DMO, Georgi has also been trained in tap by Maurice Chestnut, dance partner of Savion Glover. Within the past few years, Georgi has begun teaching and has assistant directed, choreographed and stage managed numerous productions for the children’s theater education program at Phoenix Productions in Red Bank, New Jersey. She is a current student of the William Esper Acting Studio and an advanced bass guitar player who has performed in some of the Jersey Shore’s most iconic music venues. Georgi is honored to use all that DMO has taught her over the years and pay it forward to the next group of passionate young dancers!
