MeeT Janine Molinari

Actor/Director/Choreographer/Producer

Janine judges and teaches master classes throughout the USA, Europe, Canada, and Asia. She is an international guest judge, coach, and choreographer, for Europe’s RAI TV, Florence’s, Into The Musical, Taipei’s, International Dance Festival, and Musical Theatre Tokyo. She has enjoyed two summer residencies at the 92nd Street Y, Broadway In the Mountains, and renowned competitions, festivals, and schools, throughout the globe. 

 

For the past 19 years, Janine has been the resident director/choreographer for Seven Angels Theatre, in Waterbury, CT; a professional Equity Theatre premiering new works, and past Broadway musicals and plays. Regional & Touring/Directing/Choreography credits include: Tommy, Next To Normal, Spelling Bee, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rock n’ Roll Redemption, The Producers, Hair, Godspell, Teddy and Alice, Miracle on 34th Street, Footloose, The Fantasticks, A Bronx Tale (co-director with Joe Barbara) Grumpy Old Men (starring Rob Bartlett) and the international cast of Spring Awakening, in NYC.

 

NYC/LA credits include: Off Broadway’s, Tony n' Tina's Wedding, Urban Momfare, Above Hell's Kitchen, Blessings In Disguise, The Fantasy Party, The Delusionist, Fiddler Sub-Terrain, Left To Their Own Devices, Dancing Backwards, Tap Rules, theTotally Tubular Time Machine(starring Debbie Gibson) Time Square Project, and producing and directing, New York City’s International Dance Day, for UNESCO. 

 

Janine directs and choreographs extensively for television, film, music videos, commercials, and clubs, including: The Today Show, COZI TV, Disney XD, Hooked, Tap Out Of It, Tap Your Troubles Away (for Tik Toc sensations, Patty and Patty) Hollywood Hardrock, Miami's Mansion, NYC’s China/Culture Club, The pop group, Muo Duo forWonderrama, choreographing UNICEF events in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago, (alongside Pink) multiple music videos, flashmobs (for award-winning pop artists and Broadway stars) including the international multi-award-winning music video, Broadway’s, We’re Gonna Come Back! 

 

Janine is part of the producing community for Broadway’s, Godspell, NY International Fringe Festival, NYC’s Broadway Holiday Hop, three successful runs of Vignettes of an I-talian American Girl, Coppa Italia (showcasing the very best talent in Italy) the international production of Spring Awakening, UNESCO’s, International Dance Day.

When not traveling, Janine resides in NYC, where she is the founder, and artistic director, of DanceMolinari NYC/LA/CHI,  a company that trains and coaches young professionals in all areas of dance, improvisation, acrobatics, and audition preparation for Broadway, tours, television, commercials, and feature films. She is also co-artistic director and founder of, Breaking Borders International Performing Artists: A company that produces new and revised musicals, plays, readings, workshops, and concerts, around the world. Most recently,  producing the Italian premiere of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding,in Florence, and the international cast of Spring Awakening in NYC.

 

Janine is also featured in the PBS documentary, Annie: It’s The Hard Knock Life, the docu-series, Broadway Babies, and books, How To Act Like A Kid, by Henry Hodges and Bob Marks’, and 88 Keys To Successful Singing Performances.

Janine is a proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, the National Dance Association, the National Honor Society of Dance and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
